For manufacturers of IT security products who are looking to penetrate the Canadian marketplace, CMI leverages existing coast-to-coast relationships to help build a successful channel program. We do so by overcoming typical obstacles international vendors face such as language, culture, geography and time zone differences.
Unlike traditional commodity distributors who only perform order fulfillment, CMI actively participates in all facets of the channel building process, including market research, joint marketing initiatives, pre-sales activities, support and maintenance.
CMI works closely with the manufacturer to learn your solution intimately so that we may operate as an extension of your sales, marketing and support teams. We help coordinate events, promotional campaigns, manage the complete sales cycle and provide the necessary training and support required to bring you success in Canada. We maintain transparency throughout the entire process with regular communication, data tracking and reporting.
Our Model
CMI bridges the gap between manufacturers and VARs across the nation. We offer a single point of contact that, at the same time, can provide the manufacturer with a local presence in each of the major market locations. By representing only complementary products, resellers have access to information and support from multiple security solutions. When communicating directly with end users, we will often work with the clients preferred partner.
CMI is based on a two-tier distribution model meaning that we do not sell directly but instead through value added partnerships established across Canada. We act as a conduit for our manufacturers to enable our end user clients to work with local partners of their choice while implementing security solutions.
